Nowadays, allergies are very common in dogs. The symptoms can manifest themselves in very different ways, e.g. skin problems such as severe itching, reddening of the skin, weeping rashes, or stomach problems such as vomiting and nausea, chronic gastrointestinal complaints, recurring diarrhea and ear infections. If you suspect that your pet is suffering from a food intolerance, then an exclusion diet can be the most sensible and successful way. Any ingredient in the food you have fed so far could be the trigger for the intolerance. Your pet's immune system fights with a defensive reaction against protein molecules that the body classifies as "foreign substances". The most common triggers for allergies are animal proteins (often poultry, beef) and/or plant sources such as grain or soy. But the food mites that nest in every dry food can also cause allergy attacks. Thanks to the carefully selected ingredients, our vegan menus are perfect for an exclusion diet for your dog. They help you identify and manage intolerances and allergies.
Other benefits of feeding your dog a vegan diet:
-
Improved digestion : Vegan diets often contain plenty of fiber from vegetables, fruits and whole grains, which can aid digestion and lead to better gut health.
-
Health-promoting ingredients : Plant foods are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that can help strengthen the immune system and reduce the risk of chronic diseases.
-
Weight management : Vegan diets tend to be lower in calories and fat than meat-based diets, which can help with weight control and obesity prevention.
-
Heart health : A vegan diet can lower cholesterol and contribute to cardiovascular health. Plant-based foods are often free of saturated fats and cholesterol found in animal products.
-
Ethics and animal welfare : The decision to feed a vegan dog food can be made for ethical reasons to avoid the exploitation and suffering of animals in the food industry.
-
Environmental friendliness : Plant-based food production has a smaller environmental footprint than animal product production. A vegan diet for dogs can help reduce water consumption, deforestation and greenhouse gas emissions.
Although a vegan diet can offer many benefits for dogs, it is important to ensure that the diet is balanced and complete to cover all of the dog's nutritional needs. We remain true to our philosophy; we want our products to be as natural as possible, which is why we do not add any oils or vitamin and mineral supplements (so-called premixes > of synthetic origin) to the can. To provide your dog with all-round nutrition, you should mix Supplements and Oils into the vegan menus .

This is what's inside - the benefits of the ingredients:
- Organic millet: with over ten percent protein, millet is a valuable plant-based source of protein. Thiamine, riboflavin, biotin and folic acid are just a few of the B vitamins contained in millet. In addition, there is a respectable amount of vitamin E, which acts as an antioxidant to protect against so-called free radicals. In addition to the vitamins, it also contains noticeably high amounts of iron. Millet has a relatively high proportion of silicon, which is also known as silicic acid. This ingredient is a valuable building block for healthy skin and beautiful fur.
- Broth: is the water in which all the ingredients were cooked. This is needed for every cooking process (for every canned meal) - but is not declared by many manufacturers.
- Organic chickpeas: they not only contain proteins, fiber and iron, but also vitamins A, B, C and E. Chickpeas are a source of plant-based protein and contain almost all of the amino acids needed for a balanced diet. The abundant fiber swells, satisfies and serves as "food" for the intestinal flora.
- Organic pumpkin: provides many vitamins, including beta-carotene (a precursor to vitamin A), which is needed for vision, vitamin C and vitamin E, as well as the minerals potassium, magnesium, calcium and iron. Also contains filling fiber.
- Organic spinach: is an all-rounder. Contains vitamins C, E and K, potassium and magnesium, which are needed for the functioning of nerves and muscles, among other things. It also contains calcium, which is essential for the growth and formation of bones and teeth, and zinc, which strengthens the immune system and is needed for numerous metabolic processes.
- Organic linseed: they are a good source of magnesium. In addition to fiber and omega-3 fatty acids, linseed contains protein, magnesium, iron and zinc as well as vitamins B1, B6 and vitamin E. Linseed can help with gastrointestinal complaints because its mucous substances protect the mucous membranes of the stomach and intestines.
- Organic coconut oil: it contains about 45-60% lauric acid, which increases HDL levels (the “good cholesterol”). Coconut oil also contains many minerals and vitamins. It is easily digestible and has a positive effect on fat metabolism.
- Organic psyllium seeds: they are full of fiber (food for beneficial intestinal bacteria) and contain mucilage, which can bind large amounts of water. The mucilage stimulates digestion and works against constipation, and also has a binding effect and helps with diarrhea.
- Organic rose hips: contain a particularly high amount of vitamin C. Ascorbic acid, i.e. vitamin C, is very important for building bone substance. The vitamin also regulates the body's calcium and phosphorus levels.
- Algae lime: contains mainly calcium carbonate, as well as magnesium carbonate and trace elements (boron, iodine, silica) and can therefore prevent a deficiency in minerals and trace elements.
- from 1 year: normal activity, approx. 3% of body weight per day
- from 7 years: lower activity, approx. 2% of body weight per day
